Coming In 2012: Personhood Initiatives in the States

What's going to happen:	Right-wing extremists intend to put so-called "personhood" amendments on as many state ballots as they can.
Why it matters:	While exact language varies by initiative, if passed, state constitutional amendments would outlaw abortion in all circumstances, and often emergency contraception, fertility treatments and/or hormonal birth control.
How we'll win:	NOW and its allies stepped up and defeated the Mississippi personhood initiative. If we can win there, we know we'll prevail everywhere! But we can't do it without your help.
