Dear Ohio NOW activist,
Tomorrow is your state's primary election, and we hope everyone will vote. In Ohio, the national NOW/PAC has endorsed Sen. Sherrod Brown for the U.S. Senate, and Mary Jo Kilroy (CD-3), Marcia Fudge (CD-11), and Betty Sutton (CD-16) in the House.
Mary Jo Kilroy's race in the newly formed 3rd Congressional District is really close. NOW/PAC chose to endorse Kilroy based on her long history with our organization and her stellar record on women's rights issues. Kilroy proudly identifies as a champion for the 99 percent, citing her work on economic justice for consumers and her demand for Wall Street accountability. Learn more.
If you don't live in Kilroy's district, you can volunteer to make last minute get-out-the-vote calls using her "call from home" program (Internet Explorer users: please view this link in another browser or call 614-653-6190).
If you do live in the 3rd Congressional District, we hope you will go to the polls tomorrow and support Mary Jo Kilroy. If you have an extra few minutes, we encourage you to head down to her campaign headquarters at 1349 E. Broad Street in Columbus and offer to make calls, pass out last minute flyers or drive people to the polls. From the comfort of your home you can also make last minute get-out the vote calls using her "call from home" program (Internet Explorer users: please view this link in another browser or call 614-653-6190).
If you have further questions, contact Kilroy for Congress Field Director Shawn Phetteplace at 614-653-6190.
Thanks for all you do!
P.S. Here's what The Columbus Dispatch said about Kilroy: "Although she served . . . in a swing district, [Mary Jo] voted for President Barack Obama's health-care reform [and] also backed the economic-stimulus package, creation of a federal consumer-protection agency, the repeal of 'don't ask, don't tell' [and] introduced a bill to prohibit credit scores from falling because of a medical debt."
