Dear Supporter,

They did it again. Extremists in Congress brought another dangerous abortion ban to the House floor just this week. It would have banned abortion at 20 weeks for women in the District of Columbia. And it failed.

This means the War on Women is still raging, and NOW needs your help to keep defeating anti-abortion rights legislation and round out 2012 by defeating those radicals hell-bent on eviscerating a woman's right to choose.

Under normal rules, the D.C. 20-Week Abortion Ban (H.R. 3803, sponsored by Rep. Trent Franks of Arizona) would have passed by majority vote. Let me say that another way: Earlier this week, a majority voted to criminalize abortion at 20 weeks in the nation's capitol, with federal fines and up to two years' imprisonment for doctors without exceptions for rape, incest or the pregnant woman's health.

We need your support to stand strong and loud during this right-wing assault on women's lives – and elections are at stake!
