All women need legal protection from domestic violence -- regardless of their race, citizenship status, sexual orientation or gender identity. Rep. Tim Griffin (R-Ark., 2nd District) will be appearing soon at a town hall meeting in your area. Join others from your district in attending this event, and demand that the inclusive, bipartisan Senate version of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) reauthorization be enacted.
Key Talking Points:
» Congress must pass the bipartisan, inclusive Senate version of VAWA, which protects Native American women, immigrants, members of the LGBT community and college students.
» The House version excludes these vulnerable populations and should not be the model for the final reauthorization.
» Not passing the Senate version of VAWA undermines the principles of VAWA.
We must demand that Congress immediately reauthorize the Senate version of VAWA and legally protect all women.
