Remember that the special room rates made available to attendees of the conference will end on June 10!
Senator Elizabeth (D-Mass.) has introduced legislation that would offer students the same loan rates offered to the big banks. On July 1, federal subsidized Stafford student load interest rates are scheduled to double from 3.4 percent to 6.8 percent! Tell your senator to support Bank on Students Loan Fairness Act (S.897)!
NOW supports both the three-state strategy and the traditional ratification process: Women need the ERA whatever the path. Conservative politicians' 'war on women' is a stark example of why women must have stronger legal protections.
NOW President Terry O'Neill has a new piece at The Huffington Post on sexual violence in the military. Read it here.
NOW applauds today's refusal by U.S. District Judge Edward Korman to suspend his ruling allowing women of all ages access to Plan B One-Step.
In the next few weeks, National NOW will be welcoming six Regional Fellows. Their primary role will be reaching out to our grassroots activists and helping our Field Team provide necessary chapter services.
