Terry O'Neill will be in Bentonville, Arkansas joining UFCW, Jobs with Justice, and OUR Walmart for a forum discussing Walmart's policies. It is a week-long event that includes a rally outside the Walmart shareholders meeting. This event will be live-streamed.
New Op-Ed by NOW President Terry O'Neill is available in the Monday print edition of POLITICO. The piece, which focuses on the GOP's political strategy to continue their attack on women's reproductive rights, is also available online.
NOW Executive VP Bonnie Grabenhofer writes: "Minnesota's victory comes just months after state government officials pushed to cement in their constitution a ban on marriage equality." Read it here.
Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) has introduced legislation that would offer students the same loan rates offered to the big banks. On July 1, federal subsidized Stafford student loan interest rates are scheduled to double from 3.4 percent to 6.8 percent! Tell your senator to support the Bank on Students Loan Fairness Act (S. 897)!
