Emergency "Adopt a Campaign" to Build Feminist Votes
NOW/PAC announces a final push to defend our champions and build a surge of feminists votes on Election Day.
This midterm election is extremely critical -- and women stand to gain or lose so much. Polls show that dozens of races are tight, and many of our feminist allies are neck and neck with right-wing opponents. Our pledge is to put them over the top, and we need everyone on board.
Women voters need to rise up and make their voices count right now by volunteering in campaigns for NOW/PAC-endorsed candidates. If you're not in a state with a close election, you can Adopt a Campaign by making phone calls from home or donating money.
One of our emergency campaigns is in Pennsylvania, where NOW/PAC-endorsed candidates Joe Sestak and Lois Herr have a shot at winning the open Senate seat and unseating an anti-woman incumbent in the House.
Rep. Joe Sestak is a candidate who shares our dreams and concerns, and he needs every feminist voter in Pa. to show up Nov. 2 to ensure a victory. And longtime NOW activist Lois Herr is determined to unseat Rep. Joseph Pitts, co-author of the infamous Stupak-Pitts anti-abortion amendment to the health reform bill. Herr is within striking distance of defeating Pitts, and we need to help her hit a home run.
If you can make phone calls as a volunteer for the NOW/PAC, send your name and contact information to our NOW/PAC volunteer, and you'll be sent a list to call for both Lois and Joe.
Thanks for helping to send women right's champions to Capitol Hill! Your calls could make a difference!
