Join a Roe Commemoration Event Near You
Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, will be the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that recognized women's fundamental right to self-determination. NOW affirms that abortion rights go far beyond mere matters of choice: The ability to access safe, legal and affordable abortion care is integral to women's ability to exercise their full human rights.
Throughout the month, NOW chapters around the country are hosting rallies, speak-outs and panel discussions in support of Roe v. Wade. We hope those of you in the Washington, D.C., area will join the National NOW Action Center for our annual vigil outside the Supreme Court on Friday, Jan. 21. We hope those of you in other parts of the country will attend actions hosted by our grassroots chapter network.
