STAND WITH NOW: #Justice4AllNOW, No SCOTUS Confirmation Before Inauguration

Following the passing of Supreme Court Justice and feminist and equal rights champion Ruth Bader Ginsburg, members of the Senate are moving quickly to appoint her replacement. Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell has already announced that he will move forward with a Senate vote, withdrawing from his Obama era ideal that no determination on Supreme Court seats be made in an election year.

With a new Supreme Court seat up for grabs, NOW’s core issues, and the very values of the intersectional feminist movement, are at stake. Another justice appointed under this administration would result in a conservative majority, threatening reproductive rights and, most specifically, safe and accessible access to abortion under Roe v. Wade.

Constitutional equality as a whole is at risk, with the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community, immigrants, low-income individuals, women, and BIPOC Americans hanging in the balance. We must ensure #Justice4AllNOW.

Justice Ginsburg’s dying wish was that she not be replaced until a new president is installed. It is essential that we mobilize to make certain her request comes true.
